Head Coach Jacob Nichols

Coach Nichols is in his 10th year at Alpharetta High School and 5th year as Head Coach. After coaching 9th grade football in 2009, Coach Nichols was the Varsity Offensive Line coach for the 2010 and 2011 seasons and Varsity Offensive Coordinator for the 2012 and 2013 campaigns. After three seasons as Head Coach, Coach Nichols’ career record is 22-11.

Before coming to Alpharetta, Coach Nichols was a volunteer football coach at Riverchase Middle School in Pelham, AL from 2004-2006. In December of 2008, Coach Nichols graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in K-12 Physical Education from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Prior to attending UAB, he played football at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Coach Nichols is a native of Lilburn, GA and played football under Coach Cecil Flowe at Parkview High School from 1996-1999. He was a 3-year letterman and part of the 1997 AAAA State Championship football team.

Coach Nichols also serves as Physical Education department chair at AHS. His hobbies include golf, college football and spending time with friends and family.
